Kristin Evans, RN, BSN

Organ Offer Triage Coordinator
BIOGRAPHY:
Kristin graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Baylor University in 2007. Her career in nursing was inspired at the age of 9 when her grandfather developed signs of liver disease and was subsequently diagnosed with Hepatitis C. Unfortunately, due to other comorbidities, he was not a candidate for transplant. He passed away in 1998. Kristin worked for close to 4 years as a liver transplant coordinator. Prior to completing nursing school, she worked part-time as a patient care tech on the liver transplant floor. In addition to transplant, Kristin has worked in the Emergency Room for over 8 years
My Why:
I know firsthand the emotional and physical toll it takes for both a person living with organ failure, as well as the family members who endure the process by their side. After witnessing the compassion and care my grandfather received throughout his illness, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in nursing so that I would one day be able to help others. My work in transplant has been, by far, the most rewarding job I have ever held.”
